The Steel Top Kings Competing program is a high-commitment program for fighters who are serious about becoming national champions or professional fighters. Coachability, Hardwork Ethic, Intensity and Upstanding Character are the qualities we are looking for in prospective boxers.
No gym dues, fighters train free, all expenses/equipment/travel etc. paid by Legacy.
Fighters train 5:15am - 8:30am Monday through Friday. Train 3 weeks, compete, take 1 week off.
Ages 8+ are eligible.
In order to qualify for the team you will need to:
A. Join Champion Boxing Sessions (Non-Competing Program)
B. Execute your Bronze Coin Technique Goals and Gold Coin conditioning goals
C. Execute a timed running goal (Below)
D. Attend five training days with the competing team.
E. Sign the Team Conduct Contract, Non-Compete and commit to 2 years+ of competition.
Fighters are required to Coach Monday and Thursday 4pm - 5:30 pm and support our community efforts.

MILE TIME REQUIREMENTS
1 Fast Warm up mile (Required time + 1 Minute or less), 1 minute rest
1 Mile at required time below, 1 minute rest
1 Cool down mile (Required time + 1 Minute or less)
Running Mile Time Requirements
7-8 years: 9 minutes.
9-10 years: 8 m. 30 s.
11-12 years: 8 minutes.
13-14 years: 7 m. 15 s.
15-16 years: 6 m. 30 s.
17+ years: 6 m 20 s.

Vinicio Pesina
Lessons from a 12 year old fighting a debilitating heart condition to become Washington’s State Silver Gloves Champion.
“Two years ago I was in a really dark place. I have a heart condition. I weighed 180 lbs. I wasn’t feeling confident. When I was that low I focused on what I want to do, which is to box.”
Vincio kept that focus as he battled his heart condition for over a year, bringing his health to a point where he could safely train, since that time Vincio has hit the gym with a vengeance.
“Now I’m 14, 147 lbs. My goal is to be a Golden Gloves Champion, pursue the Olympics and turn Pro if it’s in the cards for me. Boxing can get you through dark times.The training is super intense. It takes a lot of time and work ethic. In the next three weeks I’m fighting back to back to back. The hardest thing for me is the running, and school is my biggest challenge along with the sport, but I just keep a growth mindset. Outside the sport most of all I want to spend time and connect with family, especially on thanksgiving.”
Vinicio has amassed an impressive record of 8 wins 1 loss, with 4 wins by way of TKO. His attitude as a competitor is fierce in an effort to become the Washington State Silver Gloves Champion on Nov. 9th, and avenge his only loss.
“Most of all I want my rematch with Christian Martinez, bad. He was my loss that opened my eyes to needing to improve technically. I used it to improve. Everytime I see him on social media….”
Vini is set to rematch Christian Martinez at War 4 in Walla Walla, Oct. 19th. This fighter's mentality applies to Vinicio’s greatest focus in his community as well, which is transforming bullies.
“I want to show people in my community that this is a place where everyone is nice to each other. I want bullies in our community to come to this sport and learn discipline, I want them to see a better way and that Legacy is a way of life.”
When young individuals find the will to overcome severe health condition and apply that will and Champion’s mentality to their greatness, goals, family and community, it’s a powerful example to us all.
